The risk of pirate attacks off the Somali coast was "high" in the first quarter of 2010, despite a significant fall in attacks worldwide, according to a report by the International Maritime Bureau (IMB). 

         Continued efforts by operations such as Nato's Ocean Shield were significant factors in a 34% year-on-year decline in global attacks during the first three months of the year.
