South Africa transport dispute ends

Transport worker strikes that have disrupted South African imports and exports have finally ended.

Yesterday, the Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) signed a new wage deal with state port and rail operator Transnet, ending a dispute that has lasted two-and-a-half weeks.
