Strike could set South African ports back half a year

South African ports to get back to normal after the strike by Transnet workers, which has brought port operations to a halt, cost the country millions and threatened aspects of the World Cup, the Independent reported.

David Bertram, operations manager fleet safety officer for the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), said their operations were at a standstill and they were limping along.
