Europe's second busiest port, Antwerp, saw its volumes increase 12.7% year-on-year during the first quarter of the year.

       The port handled 42 million tonnes during the period, with 58% made up of containers. 

       Port alderman Marc Van Peel said: Antwerp aims to expand its position in all categories and types of freight.
