It could be three to four years before the container shipping business absorbs the overcapacity that currently plagues the industry, said CC Tung, OOIL Group chairman and chief executive.

"We are pleased to see that after a very tough year for the container shipping industry in 2009, demand seems to be recovering, albeit tentatively," he said at a christening ceremony for OOCL London at Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea yesterday.
