Forwarders and shippers are facing more price increases on the Asia-to-Europe trade, this time from CMA CGM and Coscon.
Marseilles-based CMA CGM said it had decided to increase rates by US$200 per teu on all services moving westbound from Asian ports, including those in Japan, south-east Asia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, to all ports from Portugal to Russia in the western and eastern Mediterranean and in the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Coscon is increasing prices for all shipments from southern China to north-west Europe and the Mediterranean, including Israel, Lebanon, Syria, north Africa, west Africa and the Black Sea by around $30 per bill of lading from Monday. |
