Representatives from China's Ningbo port recently visited Gdansk port, on the Baltic coast in northern Poland, with the purpose of finding a European port capable of handling a large quantity of containers, Polish News Bulletin reported.

An agreement on a partnership between the two ports was signed two years ago, but negotiations had been halted due to the economic crisis.
