Malaysian carrier MISC saw full-year profits drop 40% on the back of losses in its container shipping and chemical shipping divisions.

Group revenue in 2009 totalled M$13.8 billion (US$14.3bn), 12.7% down on 2008, while profits before tax came in at M$933 million, excluding a M$31 million loss on disposal of ships.
