NSW Ports Minister Paul McLeay said there would be no more negotiations over the proposed new regulation at Port Botany, which will come into force later this year for setting performance targets and reciprocal penalties for transport operators and stevedores, the Australian Financial Review reported.

Under the new rules, shipping lines will have to pay an additional US$8.90 per full container.

Sydney Ports Authority will employ more staff to monitor and mediate disputes.
