US asks Pakistan to meet C-TPAT demands in two years

The US has given a deadline to all of its trading partners including Pakistan to develop and meet the requirements of Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) within the next two years, the Pakistan Daily Times reported.

In case of failure by the trading partners including Pakistan in meeting the requirements, the US Customs will charge US$800 per container special fee for physical inspection of each container, official sources said.
