CMA CGM has taken delivery of its latest vessel, the 8,500teu CMA CGM Figaro, built by Samsung Heavy Industry to sail on the Asia-Middle East Gulf trade CIMEX service.

The vessel has an electronically controlled engine, which reduces oil and fuel consumption by 25% and 3% respectively and allows the ship to be operated at super eco-speed (14-15 knots).
