K Line-operated container vessel Hamburg Bridge escaped a pirate attack off the Gulf of Aden on Monday, while another boxship was rescued by the Dutch Navy after being captured.

        The 8,000teu Hamburg Bridge was attacked and fired on by pirates in a high-speed boat about 250 miles (450km) east of the Gulf of Aden at around 9pm.
