PD Ports'Teesport facility is expecting its container traffic to increase by around 30-40% over the next six months, thanks to its port-centric logistics services.
Graham Wall, PD Ports'commercial director, said that over the last six months the facility had increased its container volumes by 51% by convincing retailers they could save money and road miles by putting distribution centres on its land and importing through Teesport, rather than transporting cargo through southern ports and using warehouses in the Midlands.
