IL&FS, Spanish major Grup Maritim TCB, Essar Ports and Terminals, and Simplex Infrastructure are among the players shortlisted to bid for the project to develop and operate a new container terminal at the New Mangalore port on a build-operate-transfer basis for 30 years, the Hindu Business Line reported.

These players can submit the financial bids for the projects provided they get security nod from the Home Ministry.

The New Mangalore Port Trust has shortlisted five bidders for building and operating a new container terminal in the port with a project cost of US$59.7 million.
